I was quite struck how much of my writing process I found in your post. I recently published my first book and it took six long years from the first sentences to the finished product — but the process had much in common with this summary of the creative process: I collected a lot of information. I let it sit. I did something else (a lot). I came back to it, only to find that I now knew what I wanted to express. With time, it assembled itself. Thank you for the wonderful summary of the creative process. Makes me feel much better about having taken this long ;-)
